There are many angles to the abortion issue. Emotional, technical, pragmatic etc. What I am horrified about is the response of the Church in Australia to this issue. Who is it that is organising rallies, vigiles and protests? Where is the instruction for Christians to lobby their local member coming from? Is it being thundered from the pulpit, discussed in small groups or even prayed about in corporate worship? Why bother, the world is running down and Christ's return is imminent, you say. Let me tell you why we, the Church, should care. And more than that, get off our behinds and do something about it.
